STILL BUSY!
For almost three weeks, we keep the lecture hall 4 on the campus of Jena Ernst-Abbe-occupied. We want to protest against the conditions in education, study and teaching situation at the University of Jena and the shortcomings in democratic participation. The cast of the lecture hall we see a symbolic appropriation of the area of education by all, students and teachers can use for writing and discussion of specific changes.
has in recent weeks taken this process fruit: receivables were carried out to the public, and discussed at a student assembly, students were with us in the exchange, as well as some teachers, in seminars and lectures, and - occurred in open discussion with her students - now in HS 4.
Although emerging in the institutes already strong movement to question the existing teaching systems together with the students and to work, there is still need for protest and debate, for which the occupation of the auditorium is still necessary. We seek a dialogue with the Unileitung and plan for Wednesday a public discussion.
Jena is not alone with this movement. Across Europe, dozens of universities still occupied. The beginning of it all: the rest is up to you! Now is the time for change! Find your own way to endorse the move - in thought, in discussions and in actions.
